who I am what do I offer

If someone had told to me ten years ago that today I can teach traditional yoga, pranayama, and chakra meditation, I would not have believed my ears. In those days my entire life had been pervaded on every single level by the overwhelming daily flux of the great treadwheel we call the Western way of living.

It would not be too far fetched to say that my life then as a musical manager was light years away from the world I live in now.

So I took a deep breath and went out to attend my very first hatha yoga class

what do I offer

Healthy and balanced diet

Besides, we also need to pay attention to a healthy and balanced diet, by which we may purify the mind and make the body more resistant to diseases.

Proper breathing

Proper breathing is based on pranayama, by which oxygen can fill the entire lung, while focus may be achieved through meditation which owing to this relaxed state, releases the tensions in the muscles.

Positive thinking

Above all that, I find positive thinking to be a crucial principle, by which meditation may be of considerable help. Thereupon we may become able to shut out all negative thoughts, calm our mind and attain a realm beyond our mental sphere.

“The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind and the harmony of the soul create the symphony of life.”

“As soon as all impurities have been removed by the practice of spiritual disciplines the ‘limbs’ of yoga man’s spiritual vision opens to the light-giving knowledge of the Atman.”

“The practice of Yoga induces a primary sense of measure and proportion. Reduced to our own body, our first instrument, we learn to play it, drawing from it maximum resonance and harmony.”

“There is no complete spiritual life without music, for the human soul has regions which can be illuminated only by music.”

“Rhythm develops attention, concentration, determination and ability to condition oneself. Melody opens up emotions. Dynamic variation and tone color sharpen our hearing. Singing is such a many-sided physical activity that its effect in physical education is immeasurable.”

“The characteristics of a good musician can be summarized as follows: a well-trained ear, a well-trained intelligence, a well-trained heart, a well-trained hand. All four must develop together, in constant equilibrium.”
